Consul-General Ms. Khaing Su Linn attends the “Hunan (Huaihua)-ASEAN Industrial and Supply Chain Matchmaking Conference”

Ms. Khaing Su Linn, Consul-General of the Consulate-General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Nanning attended the “Hunan (Huaihua)-ASEAN Industrial and Supply Chain Matchmaking Conference” held in Huaihua, Hunan Province on 31-10-2025 and delivered a speech at the Conference.
During the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Zou Xingwang, Standing Committee Member of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee, and Vice Mayor of Huaihua Municipal People’s Government; Ms. Khine Su Linn, Consul-General of Myanmar in Nanning; Ms. Yang Aiyun, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Hunan Sub-council; and Mr. Xu Zhongjian, Secretary of the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee delivered opening speeches respectively.
In her speech, the Consul-General expressed that strengthening industrial and supply chains is not only important for addressing the challenges faced by global trade but also for promoting regional economic integration and stated that Huaihua is a logistics hub in central China along the international land-sea trade corridor and has rail freight links with ASEAN countries, so there is a huge potential for promoting industrial and supply chain cooperation between Huaihua and ASEAN countries. In addition, she also highlighted that China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) version 3.0 has been signed recently, so holding such a conference on industrial and supply chain in Huaihua is a right time to promote industrial and supply chain integration between Hunan Province and ASEAN countries, and Myanmar Consulate-General in Nanning stands ready to cooperate with Hunan Province.
The conference was attended by (200) guests including representatives of companies and businesses involved in the supply chain industry from Hunan Province and ASEAN countries, and they exchanged views and discussed opportunities for further integration of the industrial and supply chain between Hunan Province and ASEAN countries.
During the visit, the Consul-General met with Dr. Wei Zhaohui, who recently served as Acting Mayor of Huaihua from the Secretary-General of the China-ASEAN EXPO (CAEXPO) Secretariat and exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in potential sectors between Myanmar and Huaihua. Afterward, the Consul-General visited Jiahui Group company, the largest wholesale and logistics company in Huaihua and discussed about exploring ways to export Myanmar seafood products to Huaihua.
