Chargé d´Affaires / Minister of Myanmar Embassy in Havana, U Win Thu Htet, along with the Heads of Missions of the ASEAN Member States accredited in Havana, participated in the occasion of the handover of the Chairmanship of the ASEAN Committee in Havana, Cuba (ACHC), which was convened in conjunction with working luncheon in 92 Restaurant, Grand Aston Hotel at 1230 hrs of local time, in Havana on 8 January 2026. During this meeting, the Heads of Missions of the ASEAN Member States exchanged views on the activities of the ACHC over the past six months, the outcomes of the ASEAN during Malaysia's Chairmanship in 2025, the matters related to ASEAN-Cuba cooperation, and the current global landscape. In addition, the Ambassador of Indonesia handed over the Chairmanship of the ACHC for the next six months to the Ambassador of Lao. Afterwards, the meeting was concluded, followed by the luncheon of the Heads of Missions of the ASEAN Member States.
