The Chargé d’Affaires /Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the United States, along with ASEAN Ambassadors, Heads of Mission and representatives from other ASEAN Embassies attended the working luncheon hosted by H.E. Mr. Dwisuryo Indroyomo Seosilo, Ambassador of Indonesia to the United States, to Ms. Michelle Chan, Deputy Secretary of the South and Southeast Asia Group of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia and Senior Official for ASEAN, the East Asia Summit (EAS) and the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), and H.E. Greg Moriarty, Ambassador of Australia to the United States, in Washington D.C. on 3 November 2026.
During the working luncheon, members of the ASEAN Committee in Washington exchanged views on ASEAN and Australia relations, the direction of bilateral and regional cooperation, as well as developments in Australia – U.S. relations, and discussed matters pertaining to regional developments and common interest. The working luncheon also provided an opportunity to further strengthen diplomatic engagement and mutual understanding between ASEAN Member States and Australia.
