H.E. Aung Myo Myint, the Permanent Representative of Myanmar to ASEAN met with Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, the Secretary-General of ASEAN on 21 April 2026 at the ASEAN Secretariat.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the developments in ASEAN including the efforts of ASEAN Community-building through the three pillars of ASEAN Community as well as the regional and international issues.
Moreover, the Permanent Representative of Myanmar briefed on the developments in Myanmar including the successful completion of the General Elections, convening of the respective Hluttaws followed by the formation of Union Government and 100-day programme of the Government. The discussion also covered the implementation of ASEAN Five-Point Consensus, the Government’s efforts to national peace and stability and faciliation to provide humanitarian assistance to the disaster affected regions through the AHA Centre.
