Ms. Phoo Pwint Ko Ko, Consul General of Myanmar paid a courtesy call to His Excellency Mr. Cui Jianchun, Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in Hong Kong SAR at 1000 hrs on 16 December 2025 in the Office of the Commissioner in Hong Kong SAR.
At the meeting, the Commissioner firstly presented her the exequatur as the Consul General of Myanmar to Hong Kong SAR. Then, he gave a brief on the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) of the People’s Republic of China as well as the successful practice and advantages of the “One Country Two Systems” in Hong Kong SAR. He also encouraged the Consul General to seize Hong Kong’s development opportunities and further promote exchanges and cooperation between Myanmar and Hong Kong in various sectors.
The Consul General of Myanmar expressed her appreciation with honour for receiving the exequatur. Then, she provided an update on the recent developments in Myanmar. She further emphasized that Myanmar highly values the unique advantages of “One Country Two Systems” in Hong Kong SAR and she would actively contribute in enhancing the cooperation between Myanmar and Hong Kong in various sectors such as economy, trade, education, culture and people-to-people exchanges.
