U Win Zeyar Tun, Chargé d’affaires/ Minister of the Myanmar Embassy in London attended ASEAN-London Committee (ALC) Meeting (6/2026), held at Royal Thai Embassy in London on 22 July 2026.
At the meeting, H.E. Ms. Panha Tuot, Ambassador of Cambodia to the United Kingdom and Chair of the ASEAN-London Committee (ALC), presented an overview of the committee’s activities during Cambodia’s chairmanship from January to June 2026, highlighting both completed work and pending matters.
After that, H.E. Ms. Panha Tuot handed over the ALC chairmanship to
H.E. Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Ambassador of Thailand to the United Kingdom.
The incoming Chair, H.E. Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, outlined the planned activities of the ALC during Thailand’s chairmanship and exchanged views on ways to further strengthen cooperation between the ASEAN-London Committee and the United Kingdom. H.E. Mr. Teodoro L. Locsin Jr., Ambassador of the Philippines to the United Kingdom, also briefed the meeting on activities related to the Philippines’ ASEAN Chairmanship. In addition, the Chargé d’Affaires of Myanmar updated the meeting on recent developments in Myanmar, including state visits to neighbouring countries, the peace process with armed groups, and cooperation with ASEAN.
