U Ming Kyaw Linn, Consul-General of the Consulate-General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar attended Waso robe-offering ceremony

On the full moon day of Waso (Dharmachakra Day) which falls on July 29, 2026, Consul-General U Ming Kyaw Linn of the Consulate-General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Chiang Mai, along with staff members, attended the Waso robe-offering ceremony held by the Myanmar Community in northern Thailand. The event took place at Wat Sai Mon Myanmar Buddhist Temple in Chiang Mai. During the ceremony, Consul-General offered Waso robes and alms as well as joined the congregation in sharing the merits gained from these noble deeds.

At the ceremony, staff members of the Myanmar Consulate-General in Chiang Mai also contributed to the merit-making by hosting a Satuditha (charity food donation) for all attendees. Furthermore, through arrangements made by the Myanmar Consulate-General, Chiang Mai Ram Hospital in Chiang Mai provided complimentary healthcare services to Myanmar nationals who attended the event.
