The Ambassador of Myanmar to Thailand Presents Cash Awards Contributed by U Aung Ko Win, Patron and Founder of KBZ Bank, to Myanmar Medal-Winning Athletes at the 13th ASEAN Para Games

H.E. U Zaw Zaw Soe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Kingdom of Thailand, formally presented cash awards to Myanmar athletes who won medals at the 13th ASEAN Para Games at the Don Mueang International Airport, Thailand on 27 January 2026, in recognition of their outstanding achievements across various sporting disciplines. The 13th ASEAN Para Games were hosted by the Kingdom of Thailand and held in Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat) from 20 to 26 January 2026. The cash awards were contributed by U Aung Ko Win, Patron and Founder of KBZ Bank together with the KBZ Bank staff families, and were granted at the following rates: THB 100,000 for each gold medal, THB 50,000 for each silver medal, and THB 30,000 for each bronze medal, applicable to both individual and team events. In total, Myanmar athletes won 20 gold medals, 19 silver medals and 20 bronze medals, amounting to a total cash award of THB 3,550,000.

Furthermore, in recognition of the achievements of Myanmar athletes at the 33rd SEA Games held in Thailand in December 2025, additional cash awards totaling THB 900,000 were previously presented to the Myanmar national team, calculated at THB 300,000 for each gold medal secured. Consequently, U Aung Ko Win, Patron and Founder of KBZ Bank, together with KBZ Bank staff families, has awarded a total of THB 4,450,000 in recognition of the outstanding accomplishments of Myanmar athletes.
