Three Myanmar nationals who were being lodged at the Foreigners Detention Center in Manipur State were verified as citizens of Myanmar. On the morning of May 7, 2025, they were repatriated to their respective hometowns through the Tamu, Myanmar via the International Border Entry Gate under the Myanmar-India bilateral cooperation program. The Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar coordinated with the relevant authorities in Manipur State through the Ministry of External Affairs of India to facilitate their repatriation.
