Myanmar Embassy in Beijing and Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Office jointly hosted a reception on the 81st Anniversary of the Armed Forces Day of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on 27 March 2026 from 1830 to 2030 hrs at the Myanmar Embassy in Beijing.
Chinese People’s Liberation Army (Navy) Vice Admiral Ma Lixin and Office for International Military Cooperation of China’s Central Military Commission, Deputy Director Major General Ye Jiang graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor. Moreover, Chinese Buddhist Association Vice Chairman and Venerable Abbot of the Lingguang Temple Sayardaw Chen Zhen, some senior officials from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), representatives from Chinese state-owned companies, Defense Attachés from various Military Attache Offices resided in Beijing, Chinese Entrepreneurs and Businessmen, staff and family members of Myanmar Embassy and Myanmar Military Attache (Army, Navy and Air) Office and other invited guests, around (200) participants also attended the reception.
At the occasion, Zeya Kyaw Htin Sithu His Excellency U Zaw Win Myint, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the People’s Republic of China delivered a speech. In his speech, Ambassador noted that countries around the world have established and pursued political systems that are compatible with their own countries based on the factors of geographical situations, culture traditions and customs. He also highlighted Myanmar’s geostrategic location and its foreign policy, which is independent, active, and non-aligned in international relations. Ambassador emphasized that Myanmar Armed Forces (Tatmadaw) is prioritizing the restoration of stability and the rule of law across the country to secure the socio-economic lives of the people across the nation in accordance with the policies and guidelines of the Union Government.
He further stated that, the Myanmar Armed Forces will continue to foster strong partnerships with all countries in building a peaceful and prosperous community while safeguarding the national policy of the Three Main National Causes, and that it is maintaining the friendly relations with neighboring, regional and international armed forces as well. He also expressed appreciation to the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) for its continuous support and fraternal ties with Myanmar Armed Forces (Tatmadaw), noting that the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two armies remain strengthened to this day.
Following his address, a solemn tribute was paid in honor of the celebration of the Armed Forces Day. Subsequently, the distinguished guests were hosted at a reception, and served with buffet delicacies.
