H.E. U Aung Myo Myint, Permanent Representative of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to ASEAN, attended the Meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia and the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) in Jakarta on 5 June 2025. He also attended the ASEAN-ROK Connectivity Symposium 2025 and the Jakarta Forum on ASEAN-China Relations 2025, which were held in Jakarta on 17 June 2025 and on 19 June 2025 respectively. The Meeting between H.E. Sugiono, Indonesian Foreign Minister, and the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN exchanged views on the role of Indonesia in ASEAN, and discussed matters relating to advancing ASEAN Community Vision 2045 and strengthening of ASEAN mechanisms while welcoming the outcomes of the 46th ASEAN Summit. The ASEAN-ROK Connectivity Symposium was held with the theme “ASEAN-ROK Cooperation on Connectivity: Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025 Review and Opportunities under the ASEAN Connectivity Strategic Plan”, and touched upon the progress and challenges under ASEAN Connectivity agenda, including the implementation of the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) 2025, as well as the potential areas of cooperation of the Republic of Korea (ROK) under the recently-adopted ASEAN Connectivity Strategic Plan (ACSP). Likewise, the Jakarta Forum on ASEAN-China Relations was convened with the theme “New Areas, New Engines and New Opportunities”, and discussed the possible key strategic priorities for shaping the future of ASEAN-China Relations.
