H.E. U Aung Myo Myint, Permanent Representative of Myanmar to ASEAN, attended the 13th Meeting of ASEAN-Canada Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC), the 10th Meeting of ASEAN-Norway Joint Sectoral Cooperation Committee (JSCC) and the 76th Meeting of the Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) Task Force, held at the ASEAN Secretariat. The 13th Meeting of the ASEAN-Canada Joint Cooperation Committee held on 2 May 2025 focused on matters pertaining to trade and investment, digital economy and negotiations towards an ASEAN-Canada Free Trade Agreement (ACAFTA), including maritime cooperation, combating transnational crimes, women, peace and security (WPS) agenda, protection of migrant workers, disaster management, education and people-to-people exchanges. The 10th Meeting of the ASEAN-Norway Joint Sectoral Cooperation Committee held on 6 May 2025 commemorated the tenth anniversary of the Sectoral Dialogue Partnership between ASEAN and Norway and reviewed progress made under the ASEAN-Norway Practical Cooperation Areas (2021-2025). Likewise, the 76th Meeting of the Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) Task Force held on 6 May 2025 cordially discussed addressing key implementation challenges, identifying strategic measures to ensure the successful delivery of ongoing initiatives, and enhancing the completion rate within the remaining timeline of the IAI Work Plan IV (2021–2025). The meeting also exchanged views on the progress of the formulation of the new IAI Work Plan V.
