Myanmar Embassy Participates in Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Week Fun Run 2025 (24-3-2025)

H.E. Mr. Kyaw Soe Min, Ambassador of Myanmar, along with the Embassy staff, participated in the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Week 5km Fun Run 2025, held on 23 March 2025 at 5:30 a.m., at the Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The event was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. 

At the event, H.E. Prof. Dr. SOK Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions (Multilateral Trade and Economic Affairs), and H.E. Mr. MEAS Kim Heng, Secretary of State for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation delivered the opening remarks: 

This event aims to raise awareness about the importance of Mekong-Lancang Cooperation and to generate funds for the Kuntha Bopha Children’s Hospital. It attracted around 700 participants, including management and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassadors and diplomats from the Mekong-Lancang Embassies –China, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand as well as private sector representatives, and members of public.

The race concluded at 7:30 a.m., and medals and prizes were awarded to the top three male and female finishers. A total of USD 7,682 raised from the event was donated to the kuntha Bopha Children’s Hospital.
