The Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Dhaka held a reception to celebrate the Myanmar Traditional New Year Water Festival (Maha Thingyan), in welcoming the Myanmar New Year 1388 ME, at the residence of Myanmar Ambassador in Dhaka on the morning of 14 April 2026.
The Event was hosted by Ambassador H.E. U Kyaw Soe Moe and spouse and participated by officials and family members of the Myanmar Embassy and the Office of Military, Navy and Air Attaché. The Event was graced by the presence of Ambassadors and Diplomats from ASEAN and BIMSTEC member countries in Dhaka.
At the Event, Ambassador H.E. U Kyaw Soe Moe delivered opening remark by extending festival greetings and new year’s wishes. Subsequently, traditional dance and singing performances were entertained by the officials and family members of the Myanmar Embassy and the Office of Military, Navy and Air Attaché while the guests were enjoying Myanmar traditional foods such as Mohinga, Mont Lone Yay Paw, Shwe Yin Aye and Tealeaf.
