An ASEAN Cultural Event, jointly organized by ASEAN Embassies and Permanent Missions in Vienna and the Diplomatic Society Magazine, was held on 29 May 2026 at the Grand Hotel in Vienna. Ambassador U Min Thein, staff and family members of the Myanmar Embassy and Permanent Mission participated in the event. At the event, the Myanmar Embassy and Permanent Mission displayed Myanmar cultural products, performed Thingyan dance, and served Myanmar traditional cuisines.
At the event, the Myanmar Embassy and Permanent Mission also demonstrated the tradition of wearing Myanmar Thanakha, which has been submitted for inscription on the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list.
