In commemoration of the 59th Anniversary of ASEAN Day, the ASEAN-Vienna Committee (AVC) organized a friendly Padel Tennis Tournament on 28 August 2026 at the Padeldome Alte Donau in Vienna. The event was attended by Mr. Aung Ko Min, Charge d’Affaires a.i. together with diplomats and family members of the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Myanmar in Vienna.
Ambassadors, diplomats, and family members of ASEAN Embassies and Permanent Missions, as well as representatives from the United Nations Office in Vienna (UNOV), United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime (UNODC), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) cheered the Tournament, and presented prizes to the winning teams.
The event was held to further strengthen friendly relations, enhance cooperation and promote closer engagement between ASEAN Embassies and Permanent Missions and various United Nations and international organizations in Vienna.
