Myanmar Consulate General, Nanning organized a trade and investment promotion event(Nanning, 9-6-2026)

With an emphasis on expanding and promoting bilateral trade and investments, the “China (Guangxi)-Myanmar Trade and Investment Promotion and Business Matching 2026” was organized by the Myanmar Consulate-General in Nanning and at Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center (NICEC) on June 9, 2026. The event was attended by Senior Officials and representatives from the Guangxi Department of Commerce, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Guangxi Committee, the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat, and the Guangxi Administration for Market Regulation, alongside entrepreneurs and prominent business companies from Myanmar and China.
Myanmar Consul-General Daw Khaing Su Linn delivered the opening remarks stating that new government of Myanmar aims to double export of prioritized products and intends to expand trade and investment with China. She highlighted that Guangxi Region, centered on Nanning, serves as a crucial and indispensable bridge connecting ASEAN markets to China. She expressed that Myanmar stands ready to export high-quality products permitted by the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC), such as rice, coffee, rubber, and seafood. Furthermore, she invited investments in various sectors, including renewable energy, mining, industrial zones, e-bike assembly and production, construction materials, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). She urged representatives of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the agricultural sector to present their products with confidence and remain open to cooperation, ensuring them that the Myanmar Consulate-General would provide its full support.
Following this, the Economic Counsellor of the Myanmar Consulate-General delivered a detailed presentation on the current investment opportunities in Myanmar. Business owners from both Myanmar and China then showcased their products, projects, and exchanged investment interests during the event. Additionally, the Nanning Customs Department briefed the attendees, sharing essential knowledge on trade facilitation, market access, and customs rules and regulations vital for bilateral trade.
Finally, a Business-to-Business (B2B) matching session was held, allowing entrepreneurs from both countries to engage in direct discussions, after which the event successfully concluded.
