Myanmar Consul General Attends Opening Ceremony of India International Grand Trade Fair (IIGTF) 2025 (2-8-2025)

Consul-General of the Consulate-General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Kolkata accompanied by Economic Attaché, attended the opening ceremony of the India International Grand Trade Fair (IIGTF) 2025 as a Guest of Honour. The ceremony was held at 12:30 PM on August 2, 2025, at the Science City Ground in Kolkata, West Bengal, and was jointly organized by the Bharat Chamber of Commerce and CCG Marketing & Services. The event was attended by Dr. Shashi Panja, Minister-in-Charge for Industry, Commerce & Enterprises of the Government of West Bengal, as the Guest-in-Chief. Other distinguished guests included Mr. Maxim Kozlov, Consul-General of the Russian Federation, Mr. Xu Wei, Consul-General of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Sikder Mohammad Ashrafur Rahaman, Acting Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Mr. Sashi Bhushan Singh, Secretary, National Jute Board, Mr. Naresh Pachisia, President of the Bharat Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Chandan Chatterjee, CEO and Co-Chairman of CCG Marketing & Services, along with other invited guests and members of the media fraternity. The trade fair features exhibitors from 10 countries, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Iran, Lebanon, Malaysia, Turkey, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and Dubai, as well as participants from 12 Indian States. A diverse range of products are being showcased in over 500 stalls across 11 air-conditioned halls. The trade fair is scheduled to exhibit for 18 days, from August 1 to August 18, 2025.
