Myanmar Consul General Ms. Phoo Pwint Ko Ko attended the GBA-Asean Summit 2026 and the Official Launch Ceremony of the ASEAN Chamber of Commerce (Hong Kong), organized by the South China Morning Post (SCMP) at 0915 hr. at The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong on 30 June 2026.
The Hon. Mr. John Lee Ka-chiu, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), attended the GBA-ASEAN Summit 2026 as the Guest of Honor and delivered the Keynote Address. Following his address, the Chief Executive, alongside Mr. Daryl Ng, Founding Patron of the ASEAN Chamber of Commerce (Hong Kong) (ACCHK), officially inaugurated the chamber by pressing the launch button. Afterwards, the Chief Executive, the ACCHK Founding Patron, the ASEAN Consuls General and representatives, the ACCHK Chairman, and other distinguished guests gathered for a commemorative group photo.
The hosting of the GBA-ASEAN Summit 2026 and the establishment of the ASEAN Chamber of Commerce (Hong Kong) aim to promote cooperation in trade, investment, and technology between ASEAN member states and China’s Greater Bay Area (GBA), while positioning Hong Kong as a vital “Super-Connector” between the two regions.
