Ms. Khaing Su Linn, Consul-General of the Consulate-General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Nanning attended the “2025 China(Guangdong)-ASEAN Trade Promotion and Supply Chain Cooperation Mechanism Development Coordination & Exchange Conference” held at Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province on 10-6-2025.
The conference was hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Government aiming to serve as a platform to promote trade and enhance cooperation in the supply chain between entrepreneurs from China and ASEAN countries.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Nie Wenhui, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade(CCPIT), Mr. Wang Weizhong, Governor of Guangdong Province, Ms. Zhang Guozhi, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, Mr. Pov Somnang, Special Assistant to the Secretary-General of ASEAN, Ms. Svay Nakry, Undersecretary of the State of the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia, Mr. Tan Kok Wai, Member of the Malaysian Parliament, Consuls-General and diplomats from the Consulates-General of Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and Thailand in Guangzhou and the Consul-General of Myanmar in Nanning, officials from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Guangdong Committee), leaders and representatives from the Chambers of Commerce and business associations of Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, officials from government departments and businessmen from China and ASEAN countries, totaling over 600 people.
At the conference, Mr. Wang Weizhong, Governor of Guangdong Province, Mr. Nie Wenhui, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Mr. Pov Somnang, Special Assistant to the Secretary-General of ASEAN, Ms. Svay Nakry, Undersecretary of the State of the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia delivered opening remarks respectively.
Then, the signing of Memorandums of Understandings between the Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Guangdong Committee) and business associations from Brunei, Laos, Malaysia and Vietnam, the launching of the Guangdong-ASEAN Connect Online Business Services Platform, licensing ceremony of Guangdong Trade and Investment Service Centers in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam, the licensing ceremony of Guangdong Liaison Office by the China-ASEAN Business Council, and the inauguration of the Guangdong-ASEAN International Supply Chain Cooperation Alliance of Enterprises were held continuously.
