U Win Thu Htet, Chargé d’Affaires a.i./Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Republic of Cuba, along with ASEAN Ambassadors, attended the chairmanship handover ceremony of the ASEAN Committee in Havana, Cuba (ACHC) held at the Residence of the Ambassador of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic on 2 July 2026. At the ceremony, the outgoing Chair of the ACHC, H.E. Mr. Vanhtha Sengmeuang, Ambassador of the Lao PDR, delivered remarks regarding the activities conducted during his tenure and handed over the rotational chairmanship of the committee to H.E. Mr. Muhammad Radzi Jamaluddin, Ambassador of Malaysia.
Following the handover, the attending ASEAN Ambassadors held a discussion, exchanging views openly and cordially on the current situations and challenges experienced in Cuba. After the meeting, the Heads of Mission of the ASEAN Committee in Havana took a group photo, and subsequently, the Lao Ambassador hosted a luncheon for the ASEAN diplomats.
