Myanmar Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Ambassador U Myo Myint Maung and spouse, together with Myanmar Defense Attaché Brigadier General Wint Thu and spouse, attended the reception marking Russian Armed Forces Day (Fatherland Defender’s Day).
The reception was hosted by H.E. Mr. Georgy Zinoviev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Korea, and spouse, together with the Russian Military, Air and Naval Attaché, Colonel Nikolai Marchenko and spouse. The event was held on 20th February 2026 in the evening at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Seoul.
Russian Armed Forces Day, also known as Fatherland Defender’s Day, was established on 23 February 1918 and is celebrated annually to honor members of the Russian Armed Forces, both past and present, in recognition of their service and dedication to the nation.
The occasion was attended by ambassadors, heads of mission, and members of the diplomatic corps based in Seoul.
