Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Manila, U Soe Ko Ko, together with Ambassadors, Deputy Chiefs of Mission, and representatives from ASEAN Member States and ASEAN Dialogue Partner countries, participated in the ASEAN tree-planting activity in commemoration of the 58th ASEAN Day. The event was organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, in collaboration with the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) and the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), and was held at the Makiling Botanic Gardens on 9 August 2025. Afterwards, Executive Director Dr. Jerome L. Montemayor of the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) delivered the welcoming remarks. Her Excellency Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro, Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs, and Her Excellency Ma. Hellen B. Dela Vega, Undersecretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs, also delivered speeches to commemorate the 58th ASEAN Day.
