The Delegation of the ASEAN Committee in Kuwait (ACK), comprising of ambassadors and chargé d'affaires a.i. from the ASEAN Embassies in Kuwait met with the Acting Director-General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Mr. Mohammad Al-Mannai at the KUNA headquarters on 10 November 2025. The delegation was led by the current chair of ACK Mrs. Lena Maryana, Ambassador of Indonesia to Kuwait. U Chan Aye, Ambassador of Myanmar to Kuwait also take part in the meeting.
During the meeting, welcoming remarks were exchanged followed by discussions on existing cooperation between ASEAN and Kuwait, KUNA’s current collaborations with news agencies from some ASEAN member states and explore opportunities for further media cooperation. Mr. Mohammad Al-Mannai elaborated on KUNA’s efforts to strengthen media ties with ASEAN countries, while the ASEAN ambassadors and chargé d'affaires a.i. shared their perspectives on potential areas for future collaboration with KUNA. At the end of the meeting, an ACK pledge was presented to the Mr. Mohammad Al-Mannai by the ACK and taken group photos together.
