H.E. U Kyaw Kyaw Min, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar attended the meeting with H.E. Saeed Bin Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates and the Heads of Embassies of the ASEAN Committee Abu Dhabi (ACAD) at 11:00 am, on 1 July 2026.
At the meeting, both sides share the views on bilateral relations among Asean countries and the UAE, relationship between two regions, recent development at Middle East region and repercussions of the development. Myanmar Ambassador updated the current development of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
After that, H.E. U Kyaw Kyaw Min attended the meeting of ASEAN Committee Abu Dhabi (ACAD) and the handover ceremony of chairmanship held at the Namak restaurant, Dusit Thani Hotel, at 1230 pm, 1 July 2026.
At the meeting, the current Chair of the ACAD, H.E. Mr. Kamal R. Vaswani, Ambassador of Singapore reported on the ACAD activities conducted during his chairmanship from January to June 2026. Afterwards, he handed over the chairmanship to H.E. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Diep, Ambassador of Vietnam, for the period of July to December 2026. Then, the committee further discussed future activities of the ACAD for the second half of 2026 under the new chairmanship.
After the meeting, Singapore Ambassador hosted a luncheon.
