The ASEAN-Riyadh Committee (ARC) meeting and ASEAN Ambassadors' working luncheon were held on 5 July 2026 at the residence of the Ambassador of Malaysia in Riyadh's in Diplomatic Quarter, Riyadh. hosted by the Ambassador of Malaysia and the current Chair of the ASEAN-Riyadh Committee, His Excellency Dato' Syed Mohamad Bakri Syed Abdul Rahman. And Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Nay Myo Oo, attended the meeting together with other ASEAN Ambassadors.
During the meeting, the ASEAN Ambassadors engaged in a cordial and open exchange of views on the prevailing situation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and related matters of mutual interest. After that, the Ambassador of Japan to Saudi Arabia, H.E. Mr. Yasunari Morino, attending as a special guest, exchanged views on ongoing energy challenges and potential solutions.
Following the meeting, the ASEAN Ambassadors posed for a group photograph. The Malaysian Ambassador and his spouse later hosted a working luncheon in honor of the participating ambassadors, which was attended by the Myanmar Ambassador and his spouse, along with other ASEAN Ambassadors.
