His Excellency U Zaw Zaw Soe, Ambassador of Myanmar to Thailand, together with the members of the Myanmar-Thai Friendship Association, attended a working dinner hosted by H.E. Mr. Bandhit Sotipalalit, former Thai Ambassador and Chairman of the Thai-Myanmar Friendship Association, at The Empress Restaurant within the Royal Princess Larn Luang Hotel in Bangkok, at 18:30 hr. on 31 March 2026.
In attendance were key dignitaries from the Thai-Myanmar Friendship Association, including H.E. Mr. Bandhit Sotipalalit, Chairman of the Association, H.E. Mr. Pisanu Suvanajata, former Ambassador to Myanmar, Mr. Piyapak Sricharoen, Director-General of the East Asian Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Lt. Sorawud Preededilok, Minister attached to the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ms. Lasapan Toomsawasdi, Minister Counsellor, East Asian Affairs Department and Ms. Suthida Homkrathum, Association Officer. Representing the Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Association were Chairman and former Ambassador to Thailand U Tin Win, accompanied by Vice-Chair U Aye Ko and members Dr. Aung Zaw Win, Dr. Myo Min Win, U Thomas, and Dr. Htun Kyaw, and Daw Lamin Khin Maung Win, First Secretary of the Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok.
During the dinner, both parties engaged in a cordial and open exchange of views aimed at strengthening bilateral relations as well as on the matters pertaining to expanding cooperation across various sectors, restoring cross-border trade to normalcy, and identifying new market opportunities. The participants also deliberated on the prospects of Thai enterprises and healthcare providers re-entering the Myanmar market.
