H.E. U Kyaw Soe Moe, Ambassador to Bangladesh attended the BIMSTEC Day Reception to celebrate the 29th Anniversary of the establishment of BIMSTEC which was held in Hotel Sheraton, Dhaka on 8 June 2026.
The occasion was attended by H.E. Ms. Shama Obaed Islam, Hon’ble State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh as the Chief of Guest and Heads of Missions/Chargé d’Affaires a.i. from the member States of the BIMSTEC and the diplomats, totaling around 250 people. H.E. Ms. Shama Obaed Islam, Hon’ble State Minister and H.E. Indra Mani Pandey, BIMSTEC Secretary General delivered welcome remarks respectively in the ceremony. Subsequently, the Chief Guest, the BIMSTEC Secretary General, and the Heads of Missions from member States proceeded to cut the BIMSTEC Day cake and pose for a commemorative photograph.
Myanmar Embassy and Myanmar(Military, Naval and Air Attaché) Office together participated in the Event by showcasing the traditional Myanmar cultural handicrafts and Lacquerwares as well as actively performed the flag-waving at the match.
