Ms. Khaing Su Linn, Consul-General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Nanning, attended the 2026 ASEAN-China (Guangdong) Trade Promotion and Supply Chain Cooperation Mechanism Exchange Conference, held at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, on July 16, 2026.
The conference was co-hosted by the People’s Government of Guangdong Province and the ASEAN-China Centre, and co-organized by the China-ASEAN Business Council, CCPIT Guangdong, and the Guangdong Chamber of International Commerce. Following last year’s inaugural event, this year’s conference aimed to further serve as a high-level platform to promote trade and enhance cooperation in the supply chain between entrepreneurs from China and ASEAN countries, with a scale of approximately 1,000 participants.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Meng Fanli, Governor of Guangdong Province; H.E. Zhang Lizhong, Secretary General of the ASEAN-China Centre; Dr. Irene M. Han, Vice Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the People’s Republic of China; Consuls-General and diplomats from the Consulates-General of ASEAN countries in Guangzhou, and the Consul-General of Myanmar in Nanning; officials from CCPIT Guangdong; leaders and representatives from Chambers of Commerce and business associations of ASEAN countries; officials from government departments and businessmen from China and ASEAN countries, totaling over 1,000 people. At the conference, Mr. Meng Fanli, Governor of Guangdong Province, H.E. Zhang Lizhong, Secretary General of the ASEAN-China Centre, and Dr. Irene M. Han, Vice Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, delivered speeches respectively. Following the speeches, the Launch of Achievements ceremony was held, which included: the signing of Memorandums of Understanding between CCPIT Guangdong and business organizations from ASEAN countries (Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia, Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Federation of Thai Industries); the Plaque Awarding Ceremony of the Guangdong Enterprises Economic and Trade Service Centers in Laos, Myanmar, and the Philippines; and the release of the China (Guangdong)-ASEAN Supply Chain Cooperation Report 2026.
A Cooperation Dialogue session was then held, where overseas business organizations, experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs engaged in cooperation dialogue centered around the theme “AI-driven Supply Chain and Industrial Chain Collaboration”.
