The Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, in collaboration with the office of Myanmar Military, Navel and Air Attaché, hosted a commemorate reception celebrating the 81st Anniversary of Myanmar Armed Forces Day on the evening of 27 March 2026 at Makati Diamond Residences in Manila, Philippines.
At the reception, U Soe Ko Ko, Chargéd’Affaires a.i of the Myanmar Embassy in the Philippines, delivered the commemorative remarks. Brigadier General Kyaw Lin Aung, the Defence Attaché of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar also delivered the speech. The Commemorative photographs session were followed.
The Commemorative reception was attended by approximately 130 distinguished guests, including Ambassadors, Chargés d’Affaire and representatives of the diplomatic corps based in Manila. Senior officials from the Armed Force of the Philippines, Foreign Defence Attachés and their spouses, as well as members of the Myanmar community in Manila, were also in attendance.
Following the formal ceremony, guests were hosted to an honorary dinner. During the dinner, video presentations showcasing Myanmar’s tourism attractions, commemorative songs of the Myanmar Armed Forces, and footage of military parades were screened.
