Chargé d'affaires a.i. / Ambassador of Myanmar to Vietnam H.E. U Wai Linn received H.E. Mr. Francisco Noel R. Fernandez III, Ambassador-Designate of the Philippines to Vietnam on 23 January 2026 at 10:30 hrs at the Myanmar Embassy in Hanoi.
During the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on matters pertaining to the further promotion of the friendly bilateral ties between Myanmar and the Philippines, continued cooperation under the ASEAN framework as well as heighten collaboration between the two embassies to contribute to the shared interests of the two countries. Moreover, H.E. U Wai Linn also briefed the Philippine Ambassador on the successful completion of the first phase and the second phase of the general elections as well as preparations to hold the upcoming third phase of the general election in Myanmar.
