Chargé d’affaires a.i. / Ambassador of Myanmar to Viet Nam, H.E. U Wai Linn, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Meynardo Los Baños Montealegre, Ambassador of the Philippines to Viet Nam, on 3 September 2025 at 1430 hrs at the Philippine Embassy in Ha Noi. During the meeting, the two Ambassadors cordially exchanged views on further promoting the friendly bilateral relations between Myanmar and the Philippines, enhancing continued cooperation under the ASEAN framework, and Myanmar’s support for the Philippines’ successful ASEAN Chairmanship in 2026. They also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration between the two embassies to advance the shared interests of both countries through ASEAN-related initiatives and activities in Viet Nam. As a gesture of friendship, H.E. U Wai Linn presented a traditional Myanmar souvenir to the Philippine Ambassador.
