Chargé d'Affaires a.i. / Ambassador of the Myanmar Embassy, U Wai Linn and spouse, together with the diplomats of the Myanmar Embassy in Hanoi, participated in the Friendship Exchange Program “Colors of ASEAN” held on 23 August 2025 at Melia Hotel. The event was organized by the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO) to commemorate several significant anniversaries: the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the 30th Anniversary of its accession to ASEAN, and the 58th Anniversary of the founding of ASEAN. At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ky, Chairman of HAUFO, and H.E. Mr. Dato’ Tan Yang Thai, Ambassador of Malaysia to Vietnam, representing the ASEAN Embassies, delivered the opening remarks. The event was attended by high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Ambassadors and diplomats from ASEAN Embassies based in Hanoi, as well as Ambassadors from the Embassies of ASEAN Dialogue Partners, and representatives from the HAUFO. During the occasion, the Embassies of Cambodia, Indonesia, and the Philippines presented traditional cultural performances, while the diplomats of the Myanmar Embassy participated in the traditional costume exhibition alongside representatives from other ASEAN Embassies.
