Dr. Htuann Naung, Chargé d affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Czech Republic, attended the 29 th ASEAN Committee in Prague (ACP) Meeting and the handover ceremony of the ACP rotating Chairmanship organized by the ACP current chair, H.E. Mrs. Rina P. Soemarno, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia at 10:00 a.m. on 2 February 2026, at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (Wisma Duta) in Prague. The meeting was attended by Ambassadors and Chargé d affaires of the ASEAN countries such as Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, and working group members of ACP.
During the meeting, Heads of Missions of ACP adopted the minutes of the 28 th ACP meeting held on July 2025, acknowledged the report on the ACP Joint activities in the second half of 2025 and discussed possible Joint programmes to be organized by the ACP in the first half of 2026. In addition, they shared updates on the recent developments and progress in their respective bilateral relations with Czech Republic and European Union as well as latest development in each home country and ASEAN.
After that, the rotational chairmanship of ACP was handed over from Ambassador of Indonesia to Ambassador of Philippines, H.E. Mr. Eduardo Martin R. Menez for the first half of 2026.
