ASEAN-Myanmar SOM Leader, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar attended the 37th ASEAN-United States Dialogue held on 22 April 2025 in Siam Reap. The 37th Dialogue was co-chaired by H.E. KUNG PHOAK, ASEAN-Cambodia SOM Leader and H.E. SEAN O’Neill, Senior Bureau Official for the Department of State’s Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs. At the meeting, Senior Officials and delegates from the ASEAN Member States, and the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN Political and Security Community and the relevant officials were also in attendance and representative of Timor-Leste attended as an observer. The Meeting exchanged views on recent developments in ASEAN and the United States, as well as key regional and international issues. It also reviewed the progress in the implementation of the Plan of Action (2021–2025) under the ASEAN-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Furthermore, the Meeting discussed ongoing and future activities within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and outlined plans for sectoral cooperation between ASEAN and the United States for 2025 and beyond. It is reported that Myanmar Delegation attended the welcome dinner hosted by the Cambodia SOM Leader, which was held on 21 April 2025.
