Ambassador of Myanmar to the Republic of Korea attends “Jeju Forum 2025” (2-6-2025)

Myanmar Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, H.E. U Thant Sin attended the Jeju Forum 2025: “Beyond Boundaries: Strengthening ASEAN-Korea Synergies under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership” which was held on 29-30 May 2025 in Jeju Island, Republic of Korea.

The Ambassador, along with other ASEAN ambassadors, participated in a panel discussion aimed at enhancing comprehensive cooperation between ASEAN and Korea. In the evening, he attended the Gala Dinner hosted by H.E. Mr. Cho Tae-yul, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.

On 30 May 2025, the Ambassador joined discussions on the timely completion of ASEAN-Korea Olle Trail No. 8, a 19-kilometer scenic walking path encircling Jeju Island which was designated to commemorate the 35th Anniversary of ASEAN-Korea Dialogue Relations in November 2024. The trail features stone benches engraved with the names of all ten ASEAN member states, including Myanmar, scheduled for completion in November 2025. Following the meeting, the Ambassador visited Jeju ASEAN Hall, where he observed Myanmar’s contributions, including traditional artworks and literary publications donated by the Myanmar Embassy.
