H.E. U Zaw Oo, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to India, attended the 79th Independence Day Flag Hoisting Ceremony and National Flag Saluting Ceremony of India, which was held at the Red Fort in New Delhi in the morning of 15 August 2025. At the ceremony, Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a keynote address. In the evening of the same day, the Ambassador of Myanmar also attended “At Home” Reception hosted by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister of India, Former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind, senior government officials of India, Heads of Missions, and invited dignitaries from diplomatic missions based in New Delhi.
