His Excellency U Tin Maung Swe, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the People’s Republic of China attended the 2025 the 3rd World Small and Medium Enterprises Conference which aims in response to the United Nations MSME days and delivered a speech at the event which was held at the CP Group Center in Beijing on 27 June 2025 at 0900 hrs.
The event was attended by the Assistant Minister of the International Cooperation Department of the CPC Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of China General Chamber of Commerce, the Director of UN DESA, MSMEs economic institutions, businessmen and other invitees.
During the Opening Ceremony, Assistant Minister of the International Cooperation Department of the CPC Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of China General Chamber of Commerce, and Myanmar Ambassador to China delivered the speeches respectively.
In his address, Myanmar Ambassador highlighted the importance of this conference which emerges as the practical results for the development of Micro-Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). He mentioned that MSMEs plays a vital role in creating job opportunities, reduction of poverty, driving economic growth and sustainable growth among the countries.
He also emphasized that Myanmar is also making its effort to get better improvement of MSMEs enterprises by creating regionally innovated and competitive across all sectors that enhance income generation and contribute to the socio-economic development. Moreover, he also stated that Myanmar government is focusing on promotion of MSMEs and making a plan to manufacture local products with a one-region-one-product strategy and is occasionally holding state and regional MSMEs enterprise Expo. He mentioned that the government is encouraging to develop the performance and productivity of MSMEs and also boosting product innovation and human resources qualifications. He then, invited the foreign investors, and technicians to invest and share their experiences for the development of MSMEs enterprises in Myanmar.
