Ambassador of Myanmar to Canada U Hau Khan Sum attended the 291st Meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO) Heads of Mission and Handover Ceremony of the Chairmanship of the ACO hosted by Mr. Kallayana Vipattipumiprates, Ambassador of Thailand and current Chair of the ACO at 10:30 a.m. on 26 June 2025 at the Thai Residence in Ottawa. During the Meeting, the ASEAN Heads of Mission discussed and exchanged views on the development of the ASEAN-Canada Strategic Partnership, upcoming ASEAN Post Ministerial Conference (PMC) plus one with Canada to be held in Malaysia and strengthening of bilateral relations between the ASEAN Member States and Canada. Afterward, the Ambassador of Thailand handed over the Chairmanship of the ACO to Ambassador Vinh Quang Pham of Vietnam. The Meeting was followed by a working lunch with Mr. Wang Di, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Canada.
