Commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar held by the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Brussels

A reception to commemorate the 70^th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar which fell on 4 January 2018 was successfully held by the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Brussels on 28 February 2018 at “the Hotel” in Brussels.

The reception was graced by the presence of MEP Dr. Werner LANGEN, Chair of the European Parliament Delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), On behalf of Belgium Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Regine Vandriessche, Deputy Director-General for Bilateral Affairs of the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium, Ambassador David Daly, Chief of South East Asia Division of the European External Action Service, Ambassadors/Heads of the Diplomatic Missions and diplomats from Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and ASEAN based in Brussels, Mr. Elie J. Debahy, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Republic of Lebanon, and his wife, responsible personnels from the EU Parliament, European External Action Services, Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium, Brussels Diplomatic Club, Universities, Think-Tank, Media Group, Asia Pacific Women Association, Myanmar Community and scholars in Belgium and the Netherlands and family members of the Embassy.

At the reception, the National Anthems of Myanmar and Belgium were played first in honour of the event followed by the remarks by H.E. U Paw Lwin Sein, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Mrs. Regine Vandriessche, Deputy Director-General for Bilateral Affairs of the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium. During the reception, typical European foods and variety of Myanmar traditional foods were served.

အခမ်းအနားတွင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံနှင့် ဘယ်လ်ဂျီယံနိုင်ငံ နိုင်ငံတော် သီချင်းများကို ဦးစွာ ဖွင့်လှစ်ဂုဏ်ပြုခဲ့ပြီးနောက် မြန်မာ သံအမတ်ကြီး ဦးပေါ်လွင်စိန်နှင့် အိမ်ရှင်နိုင်ငံ ဘယ်လ်ဂျီယံ နိုင်ငံခြားရေး၊ နိုင်ငံခြားကုန်သွယ်ရေးနှင့် ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှု ပူးပေါင်း ဆောင်ရွက်ရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန ကိုယ်စား နှစ်နိုင်ငံဆက်ဆံရေးဆိုင်ရာ ဒုတိယညွှန်ကြားရေးမှူးချုပ် Mrs. Regine Vandriessche တို့က အမှာစကားများ အသီးသီး ပြောကြားခဲ့ကြပါသည်။ အခမ်းအနားတွင် ဧည့်သည်များအား ဒေသထုံးစံ ဥရောပအစားအစာများအပြင် မြန်မာ့ရိုးရာ အစားအစာများဖြင့် တည်ခင်း ဧည့်ခံ ကျွေးမွေးခဲ့ပါသည်။
