Dy FM Dr. Myo Myint arrives back from Lao PDR

30th June 2011. A Myanmar delegation led by Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Myo Myint arrived back in Yangon by air yesterday evening after paying an official visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic from 27 to 29 June at the invitation of Mr. Bounkeut Sangsomsak, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR.
On 28 June morning, the deputy minister called on Laotian Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Somsavat Lengsavad at the Prime Minister's Office of Lao PDR.
In the afternoon, he met Laotian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Bounkeut Sangsomsak and held a discussion on promotion of bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. Myanmar Ambassador to Lao PDR U Nyunt Hlaing and Minister Counsellor U Thiha Han were also present at the meeting.
The Myanmar delegation attended the dinner hosted by the Laotian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs at Lao Plaza Hotel in Vientiane.
While in Vientiane, the deputy minister together with the Myanmar ambassador and officials paid homage to Thatlouang Temple and visited Lao National Museum, Public Security's Museum, Lao handicraft and weaving center, Lao Institute of Foreign Affairs and Stock Market.
Yesterday morning, the deputy minister visited the Myanmar Embassy in Vientiane and met the Ambassador and staff members.
In the afternoon, the Myanmar delegation left Vientiane by air and arrived back in Yangon in the evening.
