At the invitation of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Dr N Hassan Wirajuda, Minister for Foreign Affairs U Nyan Win visited Indonesia to participate in the first Ministerial Level Meeting of the Joint Commission held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 13 to 16 February.

During the meeting, the two sides agreed on many areas of cooperation such as defence and security, economic, trade and investment, mining and energy, forestry, agriculture, livestock and fishery, transportation, education and training and tourism.

On 15 February, before the ministerial meeting, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on regional and international issues including the latest developments in each other’s countries.

Minister U Nyan Win called on the President of the Republic of Indonesia Dr Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.
