Thein Sein receives Senator Mr. Jim Webb, Chairman of the East Asian and
Pacific Affairs Subcommittee of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee,
and party.

PYI TAW, 14 Aug - Prime Minister of the Union of Myanmar General Thein
Sein received Senator Mr. Jim Webb, Chairman of the East Asian and Pacific
Affairs Subcommittee of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and party,
who arrived here at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs U Nyan
Win, at the Prime Minister's Office, here, at 4.30 pm today. Also present
at the call were Minister for Science and Technology U Thaung, Minister
for Foreign Affairs U Nyan Win, Minister for Information Brig-Gen Kyaw Hsan,
Minister for Culture Maj-Gen Khin Aung Myint, Deputy Minister for National
Planning and Economic Development Col Thurein Zaw, Director-General Col
Thant Shin of the Government Office and Director-General U Kyaw Kyaw of
the Protocol Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The US Senator was accompanied by Charge d'Affaires ai of the US Embassy Mr Larry M Dinger. |
