Mutual interest, bilateral trade and investment, development assistance the focus of Myanmar-Japan meeting

 

NAY PYI TAW, 21 Nov - President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Thein Sein who was in Bali of the Republic of Indonesia met Japanese Prime Minister Mr Yoshihiko Noda at Uluwatu 4 Hall of Bali Nusa Dua Convention Centre (BNDCC) in Bali of Indonesia at 6 pm on 18 November.

President U Thein Sein was accompanied by Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin, Union Minister for Information and for Culture U Kyaw Hsan, Union Minister for National Planning and Economic Development and for Livestock and Fisheries U Tin Naing Thein, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Myo Myint, Deputy Minister for Health Dr Win Myint, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Republic of Indonesia U Nyan Lynn, and departmental high-ranking officials. Together with the Japanese Prime Minister, Minister for Economy and Industry
Mr Tsuyoshi Saito, Advisor to the Prime Minister Mr Shunichi Mizuoka, the deputy ministers and high-ranking officials were also present.

The President and the Japanese Prime Minister held compre- hensive discussions on mutual interest between Myanmar and Japan, boosting bilateral trade and investment and Japanese development assistance to Myanmar.
