NAY PYI TAW, 21 Nov-President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Thein Sein who arrived in Bali of Indonesia met UN Secretary-General Mr Ban Ki-moon at Nikko Bali Hotel and Resort at 7 am on 19 November.

Also present at the meeting were Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin, Union Minister for Information and for Culture U Kyaw Hsan, Union Minister for National Planning and Economic Development and for Livestock and Fisheries U Tin Naing Thein, Myanmar Ambassador to Indonesia U Nyan Lynn and high-ranking departmental officials.

The President and the UN Secretary-General had a discussion on promotion of cooperation between the UN and Myanmar and relaxing sanctions against Myanmar.
