President U Thein Sein receives delegation headed by
Japanese Foreign Affairs Minister Mr Koichiro Gemba
 
NAY PYI TAW, 26 Dec - President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Thein Sein received the visiting delegation headed by Japanese Foreign Affairs Minister Mr Koichiro Gemba at the Credentials Hall of the Presidential House here at 11 am today.

Also present at the call together with President U Thein Sein were Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin, Union Minister at the President Office U Thein Nyunt, Union Minister for Finance and Revenue U Hla Tun, Union Minister for National Planning and Economic Development U Tin Naing Thein and departmental heads and Japanese Ambassador to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Mr Takashi Saito.

They cordially discussed matters related to bilateral multi-faceted cooperation, including strengthening of bilateral friendly ties, bilateral economic cooperation, seeking of ways and means to render assistance by Japan, encouragement and assistance for Myanmar's democratization and national reconsolidation and bilateral cultural exchanges.
