At the invitation of Mr Wen Jiabao, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, General Soe Win, Prime Minister of the Union of Myanmar, and wife Daw Than Than Nwe left here this morning for the PRC to pay an official visit.



The Prime Minister was accompanied by Minister for National Planning and Economic Development U Soe Tha, Minister for Commerce Brig-Gen Tin Naing Thein, Minister for Foreign Affairs U Nyan Win and wife Daw Myint Myint Soe, Minister for Communications, Posts and Telegraphs and Minister for Hotels and Tourism Brig-Gen Thein Zaw, Minister for Energy Brig-Gen Lun Thi, Minister for Rail Transportation Maj-Gen Aung Min and departmental officials.
