NAY PYI TAW, 14 June - Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council of the Union of Myanmar Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Than Shwe received the Sri Lankan goodwill delegation led by President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa and party at Bayintnaung Yeiktha, here, at 2 pm today.

Also present at the call together with Senior General Than Shwe were Vice-Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Maung Aye, Member of the SPDC General Thura Shwe Mann of the Ministry of Defence, Prime Minister General Thein Sein, Secretary-1 of the State Peace and Development Council General Thiha Thura Tin Aung Myint Oo, Minister for Foreign Affairs U Nyan Win, Minister for Sports Brig-Gen Thura Aye Myint and Myanmar Ambassador to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka U Ohn Thwin.

The Sri Lankan goodwill delegation was accompanied by Sri Lankan Ambassador to the Union of Myanmar Mr. Newton Gunaratna and embassy staff.
